What is the difference between Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum?

Most of us know that our perfumes come in two forms: Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum. But have you ever wondered what the difference is?

The main difference is the amount of perfume oil in the perfumes. The higher concentration of oil, the stronger and longer-lasting scent is.
  • Extrait de Parfum 20% - 30% oils – It is potent enough to make the scent last up to 8 hours, may contain rare or very precious ingredients that are difficult to formulate, which can also result in a higher price.
  • Eau de Parfum 15% - 20% oils – The second most concentrated form of perfume. Perfect for long evenings out or busy days, eau de parfum can last for four to five hours without needing a top-up.
